About us

The Applecross Landscape Partnership Scheme (ALPS) is a partnership of:

The partnership has the following objectives:

  • to conserve or restore the built and natural heritage features of the area
  • to conserve and celebrate the cultural history, events and other activities of the area
  • to encourage more people to access, learn about and become involved in the landscape heritage of the area
  • to support the continuation of local craft and other skills by providing training opportunities

To achieve these aims, a series of five programmes was developed, containing around 40 individual but linked projects which, in total, amount to approximately £2.3 million in value. Implementation began in Summer of 2010 and is now drawing to a close in 2015.
